The Marshall County Public Library has been recognized by United Way of Western Kentucky as Nonprofit Supporter of the Year for collaborating with the goal of growth in the community.
The Kentucky Public Library Association (KPLA) proudly announces Tammy Blackwell, Director of the Marshall County Public Library, as its newly appointed Chair. Blackwell's appointment was made official during the organization's annual conference held in March.

On Wednesday, November 15, 2023, the Marshall County Public Library Board of Trustees voted to change their meeting time to the 3rd Wednesday of each month at 11:30 a.m. The Board meets in the conference room at the library's Benton branch.
The Marshall County Public Library will be operating on its winter schedule December 1 - March 31. Winter hours are:

Merry the Christmas Fairy returns to Marshall County this December! Santa’s librarian has been visiting the children of Marshall County to spread the magic of books since 2015. This year, the Merry the Christmas Fairy book project resumes for the first time since 2019.
